Council investment in parkland
An estimate from Moreland City Council indicates an annual maintenance investment of $50K/yr, in addition to the capital works investments of $600K over the years.
This, of course, does not include any of the grant funds received by the community for the purposes of community planting.
It’s clear the community and Council are investing good money into this VicRoads land and it is remarkable the State Government is requesting residents and Council pay again to secure this land as a community asset.
